THE STORY
I couldn’t find a trusted source for the kinds of places I wanted to stay, so I started curating my own — hotels with fewer rooms, hidden gems and places where quiet luxury and slow living aren’t trends, but a deliberate way of life.
My international upbringing fuelled a love for travel, while my career as a brand designer cultivated a deep appreciation for aesthetics, atmosphere, and attention to detail. I’ve always been drawn to beautifully designed spaces and the way they make you feel—the stories, emotions, and memories they create.
For me, where you sleep shapes how you experience a place just as much as where you go. When choosing a place to stay, I find myself noticing everything. As a designer, I've always looked beyond star ratings and reviews, paying attention to the details that give a hotel its character —from the identity and feeling of a brand to the composition of spaces, materials, furniture, lighting, and the care behind every decision.
Carefully researching the perfect stays for my own trips, it was often tricky and time-consuming to find places that felt truly special. So I began collecting the ones that stayed with me, to share with like-minded, design-conscious travellers.
Séjourne was created as a source of inspiration for a more intentional way of travelling; choosing stays that reflect shared values, offer a meaningful experience, linger long after you've left, and are worth returning to.
